Welcome!

Welcome to the The Columbia Community Band website, the virtual home of one of the Midwest's premier symphonic concert bands. Founded in 1981, the band offers membership to professional and non-professional musicians from all across the Mid-Missouri community - the waiting list has been growing. Performances include classical, contemporary, marches, and festive pieces for band in a wide variety of venues.

Congratulations to CCB Music Director Denis Swope! Denis is pictured with Director and Composer Joe Pappas as he accepts the 2024 Phi Beta Lambda Chapter Charles Emmons Outstanding Band Director Award at the Missouri Music Educators Association convention in January.

The Keith House Memorial Scholarship?

Each year, a deserving Mid-Missouri high school student intending to continue participation in a band-related ensemble in college receives the Keith E. House Scholarship award. High School Seniors who play a band instrument in Boone or Howard Counties are eligible to apply. Click here to learn more.
