Columbia Community Band

Keith House Memorial Scholarship

To support excellence in the instrumental music tradition, The Columbia Community Band (CCB) created a scholarship fund in honor of former CCB music director Professor Keith E. House. Each year, a deserving Mid-Missouri high school student intending to continue participation in a band-related ensemble in college receives the Keith E. House Scholarship award.

Keith was a beloved teacher and conductor who spent part of his professional career at the Swinney Conservatory at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. Keith is remembered as an inspiring professional who shaped the careers of many top-notch musicians and public school music directors. In doing so, Keith enhanced the quality of music education across the United States.

Please help us grow the scholarship fund. Your generous donation will honor Keith and continue to help make this scholarship possible.
